Standing O strives to make the visa process as smooth and affordable as possible for DJs, musicians, singers, songwriters, dancers, stage actors, visual artists, comedians and other creatives seeking to perform and work in the United States.

What We Do

  • Standing O can help artists prepare and file O-1 and O-2 visa petitions:

    ⬥ An O-1 visa is for an “artist of extraordinary ability” who has been recognized as being prominent in their field through specific examples of their national or international achievements. The O-1 visa is generally for solo artists, such as DJs, musicians, singers, songwriters, stage actors, dancers, comedians, or other artists who have received significant recognition in their career.

    ⬥ An O-2 visa is for “essential support personnel” who can establish their critical skills and substantial experience with the O-1 artist, such as as members of the artist’s backing band, technical crew or other support staff.

  • Standing O can help performing groups prepare and file P-1 and P-1S visa petitions:

    ⬥ A P-1 visa is for a member of an “internationally renowned entertainment group” that has been established for a minimum of one year and has been recognized internationally as outstanding in their field, such as members of bands, theater productions or orchestras.

    ⬥ A P-1S visa is for “essential support personnel” who are an integral part of the P-1 group’s performances, such as tour managers, audio technicians or other support staff.

  • Standing O can help artists prepare and file P-3 and P-3S visa petitions:

    ⬥ A P-3 visa is for an artist or group that is “culturally unique” to a particular country or ethnicity, such as traditional dance performers or folk music groups.

    ⬥ A P-3S visa is for “essential support personnel” who are an integral part of the P-3 artist’s performances, such as tour managers, lighting engineers, or other support staff.

  • After the visa petition is approved, as an add-on service, Standing O can complete the DS-160 application and schedule the visa interview at your local US consulate on your behalf.
